August 2024

In a wild turn of events, I was called in as a last-minute replacement for Lizzy in Kate Hamill’s Pride and Prejudice at the Barnstormers Theatre!

So with 24 hours’ notice, I raced up to Tamworth, NH, re-memorized the part (which I last played at Greenbrier Valley Theatre in 2021), and went on the following night for the first of 6 performances! It was a totally delightful whirlwind, and I’m honored to have been asked to step in. The cast and company at the Barnstormers are all rockstars and made me feel so welcome. Let’s hear it for swings and understudies!!

May - August 2024

I’m thrilled to return to an artistic home of mine, Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, WV, to play Track #3 in Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery! I’ve had my eye on this play for a while, and couldn’t ask for a better team to bring it to life with.

After that, I will be making my Barnstormers Theatre debut in Tamworth, NH as the lead in Agatha Christie’s Go Back for Murder. I am so excited to round out what I am now affectionately calling my ‘Summer of Mysteries’!

Emily graduated with an MFA in Acting from UNC Chapel Hill / PlayMakers Repertory Company! She’s wildly proud of this accomplishment, and of the beautiful classmates who were by her side through it all. The ceremony may have been over Zoom, but not even COVID-19 can dim her joy! You can watch her Digital Showcase scene here. Onward and upward!

Under the direction of Orlando Pabotoy, she will be one of five brave actors assigned their roles by lottery each night as they fight for the chance to cheat Death in this hilarious re-imagining of the 15th-century morality tale.
